He Was There All The Time

The song writer put it so elegantly when he penned the song "He Was There All The Time". One of Gods names is  JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH -   "The Lord is There" (Ezek. 48:35). Why didn't the song writer pen He is there all the time? Because dear one, even though the Lord is there all the time, we don't always take time to keep our relationship with Him close and strong. Also those that are not saved when they get saved usually will say if I knew how wonderful Jesus was I would have gotten saved along time ago. Even though we were not ready as a sinner He was there all the time patiently waiting in line. Dear one how long are you going to make Jesus stand in line? He won't stand in line forever. Gold Tried In The Fire

In The Scripture Gold is a type of the nature of God. When Job went through the "test of his life", it was for God to shew forth His glory through Job! God was showing the world His glory in Jobs life. Look! see what I can do with a man that believes in me. Paul said "His strength is made perfect in my weakness." We see in test that Job has some impurities in him. One of the greatest impurities was "fear" Job said the thing which I feared the most has come upon me." Fear hath torment and he that fears in not made perfect in love. So even though you might have gold in you, God may still need to put you through the fire to remove any impurities that remain in you. There is nothing wrong with the gold but God wants to remove the impurities, like in Jobs case was "fear". Remember Job already had the gold in him. When he lost everything he said "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the Lord." Let me tell you beloved this is gold! Loose everything, and worship the Lord. But even still the Lord allowed Job to go through greater testing and fire. Why? Because God desires perfection. Are you willing to be tested to the limit so God can shew forth His glory in your life? Can you say like Job, When he hath tried me I shall come forth as gold? If not, why not? Job 23:10

  A. Magnify -

Magnify - gaw-dal' - to twist, wreath, exceed, excellent, increase, lift up, promote

3.      Exalt – To lift up

a.      To see above all

b.      To see above everything

II.               Magnify Our Problems

   A. Seeing our problems bigger than our God

1.      God’s people often tend to magnify their problems

2.      We turn a molehill into a mountain.

3.      Is it not true that we make the tiniest little problems into problems that are so big that we begin to see God as this little powerless God and so we perceive the problem to be bigger than even God?

4.      Did you know that when you magnify your problems that you are actually exalting them to a place where they are king in your life?

5.      In other words your problems become your King or your God.

6.      We can begin to praise and even worship our problems to the place where they become more powerful than even God.

        B. We need to see our problems the way God sees them

1.      Our God will remove the mountains in our life when we believe Him too.

2.      By exalting Him above our problems and getting a word from Him.

3.      Jesus said “Speak to this mountain and it shall obey you and be removed.” But not without faith

4.      Before we can speak to a mountain in our life we must first get a Word from God to speak. Remember it’s not our words that move mountains it’s His Word that moves mountains. This is real faith!

5.      Do you have a mountain in your life? Get a Word! Then speak it! The mountain must be removed. It must be removed!

III.           Magnify The Lord With Me

    A. Exalt the Lord Together

1.      Learn to bear one another’s burdens and pray for each other.

2.      Unity – One mind and one accord.

3.      Till we all come to the unity of the Faith to the fullness and stature of Christ unto a perfect man. 

 

Death and Resurrection

Jesus had said to the Pharisees of His day “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” They thought He was talking about the temple in Jerusalem but He was talking about His body His death on the cross and His resurrection 3 days later. Even as Jesus raised up His own body (Temple) He will also raise us up in these last days! He is now helping us to get firmly planted on the Rock, which is the only sure FOUNDATION of the TEMPLE. The Temple is not yet completed but in these last days He will complete the Building the Temple. He said I will build my Church (Building) Temple) and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. Except the Lord builds the House (Temple) they that labor labor in vain that build it. When restoring the Temple in Jerusalem the angel that spoke to Zechariah saying “It’s not by might nor by power but by My Spirit saith the Lord of Hosts.” There first needs to be a complete death to self-life before we can be completely raised up even as our Lord Jesus was raised up. The question remains am I willing to die to self fully 100% that I might be fully resurrected? Like Paul said, “ That I might attaint to the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I have already attained but this one thing I do. Forgetting those things, which are behind. I press toward the mark for the prize of the High calling of God in Christ Jesus. Complete death to self-life is the only way to have a perfect foundation for the temple to not be prevailed against. When we die to self 100% then and only then will we have the foundation, which is Christ under us. Paul said, “ I have laid the foundation which is Christ.” Christ is the foundation but only to the degree that we allow Him to be. The wise man dug deep and built his house upon the rock. Once we have Christ 100% as our foundation 100% then and only then can the Lord build or resurrect us to His full stature and glorified body. No death! No resurrection! Without a foundation there will be no temple. To the measure that we die to self is to the measure we will be raised up. He promised to the measure and to the stature of the FULLNESS of Christ! We must continue to die to self-daily by taking up our cross even as our Lord did. There is coming a place in our lives when we will fully be crucified and surrender to the work of the cross in our lives. No surrender no Redemption of the purchased possession. Even as the Lord surrendered His life to the cross we must also fully surrender our lives as well. The Scripture reads “and when He was come to the PLACE which was called Calvary there they crucified Him.” We need to come to the PLACE as well which for us is the Placing of sons. He went to Calvary so we could be like Him and overcome the world even as He overcame and is set down with His Father in Heaven. Even as Jesus demonstrated obedience unto death so we as believers must also become obedient unto the Death of the cross. Then we shall be resurrected and raised up to the FULLNESS and STATURE OF CHRIST. No more children but sons. His ultimate plan of the ages with be fulfilled in bringing many sons to Glory like His own son. So many will fall short of His Glory but He made provision for many not few. Jesus said few there would be that would find the way that leads to life because narrow is the way and straight is the gate that leads to life. His plan was that he would have “many sons” like His own son.

 

Abiding In The Vine - Sermon Outline

 TEXT -  John 15:5-11

I. The Branches Must Abide

  A. What does the word abide mean?

     1. To stay

       a. Continue - ongoing

       b. Dwell - to inhabit

       c. Endure - bear hardship

Synonyms:

Abide, allow, be patient with, brave, go through, grin and bear it, hang in there, permit, put up with, stick it out, submit to, suffer, support, sustain, take it, take patiently, tolerate, undergo, withstand

       d. Remain -         Synonyms: cling, continue, go on, hold the fort, outlast, outlive, persist, prevail, remain standing, reside, rest, stay put, wait 

 B. Abideth - eth is a continuation. It does not matter where I was yesterday or a few mins or even sec ago where am I right now?

         1. We want to abide in Him without separation. No separation. The same as a branch abides in a vine.

II. The Branches Must Be Purged

   A. What is used to purge the branches?

      1. His Word - v. 2,3

        a. Cut away all the deadness

        b. Cut away the flesh (the old nature)

III. The Branches Must Produce Fruit – The Character of Christ

A.     Fruit worthy of repentance. – “Bring forth fruit worthy of repentance”

1.      Repentance - Math 3:8-10, Luke 8:15, John 15:16, Rom 7:4

2.      What is the fruit the branches must produce? Gal 5:22-23

3.      This fruit is the character or nature of Christ.

4.      The divine nature is the nature of Christ

B.     The Time of our visitation (inspection) Luke 19:44

C.    The Captain of the Lord of Hosts is coming to inspect His army.

1. Stand to attention – “When you begin to see these things come to pass look up” Look up! Straighten up! For your inspection is at hand. The Captain is not going to use the fearful. Even as with Gideon God did not use the fearful but He chose three hundred men to go to battle. They did not fight with weapons of the natural. It was simply you do what I do. The men were to follow the leader, which was Gideon who followed the Lord.

D.    The fruit inspector –

a.      The fruit inspectors eyes – Mark 11:11-13, Rev 1:14, Luke 22:60-61,

(a). What does He see?

(b). What is He looking for? Fruit

(c). What does He expect?  Obedience

(d). What does He find?

(e). What does He do?

b.      The fruit inspectors’ voice - cursed the fig tree and spared His people. Executing judgment Word, Voice, there must be a death to the self life, John 12:24

c.      The fruit inspectors’ tears – The Lord is displeased with what he sees. There is no fruit worthy of repentance.

d.      The fruit inspectors hand - judgment cleanses the temple – The scourge of God – John 2:15 Heb 12:16, Malachi 3:1-3, I Cor 3:17

       

     D. More fruit - Always bearing fresh fruit v 2

        a. This is not an option it's a requirement.

E.     Much fruit - Abundance v 8

        a. Herein is My Father glorified or honored.

IV. The Branches Cannot Produce Apart From The Vine

      A. Apart from the Lord we can do nothing v 5

         1. Faith without works is dead being alone - James 2:20

            a. The Works of God are to believe on Him - John 6:29

            b. Without faith it's impossible to please Him - Hebrews 11:6

         2. Real faith will produce that which will bring glory to God.

 V. The Branches That Do Not Continue To Bear Fruit

A.     The are cast into the fire and burned – v 6, Matt 5:22, Matt 18:9,

Rev 20:14

The Uttermost Part of The Earth

The last five words Jesus said while still on earth, just before He went up, into Heaven were “uttermost part of the earth” meaning the farthest points. Note: Five is the number of grace or favor. When Jesus had spoken this to those that heard Him they did not even know about the farthest points of the earth. But God knows all things. So who is going to be the witnesses to the uttermost part of the earth? The farthest points, without question He was also talking to those in the end time as well, when He had said “uttermost part.” What was the uttermost part or farthest points for them is certainly not for us. Note: The last eight words Jesus said “And unto the uttermost part of the earth” focusing in on the word “And” the word “And” meaning a continuation of. In other words not finished yet! We have heard it said, “The Book of Acts is not finished yet” the question is do we believe it? I recently had heard a Saint of God that had fasted 40 days and nights only drinking water, twice within a full year, this person said God had showed them that many of His people continue to look back at what they find in the Book of Acts and have stopped looking forward to what He is going to do in these last days, which will surpass anything He did at the birthing of His Church. When are we going stop looking back and start looking ahead? The command was go forward! Or Wait until but never look back. Its ok to see what God did for them back there and be encouraged by it through faith as we move forward but lets keep moving on! Let’s see what God has for us in our day! We are living in the greatest days on earth! The End time Deliverance Ministry that is still to come! Jesus said, “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luk 9:62 as one of His servants I must not look back even to what those that have gone on before have experienced. I can learn from them but I must never look back. As I follow the Lamb I can see what He wants me to see as I go forward following Him. If I begin to look back I will get discouraged if I don’t see in my life what they had back there. But if I keep my eyes on the Lamb and follow Him “withersoever He goeth “ Rev 14:4 and depend on the Spirit of Truth to guide me and lead me into all Truth then I will understand that what I need is not behind me but its just ahead! Lord forgive me for the times that I have looked back. Forgive me for comparing myself with those that have gone on before me. Paul tells us they that comparing themselves with themselves are not wise. Lord help me to be wise and wholly follow You to the uttermost parts of the earth wherever that may be. Amen

Fulfilling Our Destiny

David took the strong hold of Zion and called it the city of David even so by the grace of God I shall fulfill my destiny as well. No matter what comes my way I will not be stopped or quit. I am going to the throne according to the Will of God by the grace of God. I understand that there are many things I must go through before I reach my destiny. I must learn that I cannot do it by myself but must depend on Gods grace to bring me to my destiny. There are many diversions that would try to divert me from getting to my throne but I know that God will deliver me from every snare of the enemy. God is able to deliver me from not out of but “from” every snare. The difference being, if he delivers me from the snare of the enemy that I did not get trapped in the snare, but that he delivered me from the snare, I did not get trapped but He kept me from the snare! Just because God has provided for me a throne and anointed me for the throne does not mean that I will take the throne just because he provided it. I must pay the price through prayer, faith, obedience and dependence on Him. It will take all the grace of God I can receive to reach my destiny. I cannot do it but He can and will if I allow Him to. The same God that put David on the throne and caused him to come to his destiny is the same God that will cause me to take my throne and fulfill my destiny! God is pouring out his Spirit in me more and more everyday that will not quit until all His will is complete in my life. Lord help me to humble myself daily to do your will for my life and not my own will. Amen

Experiential Knowledge

Peter penned two great epistles for us to learn from. He is sharing with us knowledge that He has learned from experience not from a book or even from the Bible for that matter. It’s not enough for us to just learn the Scripture we must apply and experience the Word or the Scripture in our own lives through obedience. When Peter tells us in I Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” He is sharing something with us that he experienced in His own life. So what is Peter sharing with us, when he said, “receiving the end of your faith”? The word “end” in the original Greek is tel'-os -to set out for a definite point or goal, the outcome or the conclusion of. Peter is saying “DON’T LOOK AT THE PROCESS” Keep your eyes on the goal! Peter went through a fiery trial and His faith was tested that night he fled and followed Jesus afar off and denied that he even knew Him. Remember what Jesus said to Peter before he denied the Lord? Peter Satan has desired to have you and to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for thee that “YOUR FAITH FAILS NOT” Before the cock crows you will deny three times that you even knew me. This helps us to see what Peter was saying when he penned in His 1^st Epistle “Receiving the end of your faith”. Peter is telling us by experience not to get caught up in the process of the fiery trials. He is saying if you fail the Lord don’t give up, but to keep our eyes on the goal! Paul the Apostle said the same words “This one thing I do forgetting those things behind, I press toward the mark or goal for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.” You see it’s the fiery trials that we go through that removes all self-confidence that would cause us to say I DID IT! When he is finished with us we can only say like Peter HE DID IT! It was Him and His power that brought me through! It was His faith that he gave me even the faith of the Son of God. As Paul said “ Its no longer I that lives but Christ that liveth in me and life I now live in the flesh I live by the FAITH of the Son of God! The only thing that pleases the Father is Faith. Many times Jesus rebuked his disciples saying “Oh ye of little faith”, “Where is your faith?” “Why did you doubt?” The Scriptures say “ Without faith it is impossible to please Him” Did you hear that? It’s impossible to please Him without faith. That means it’s never going to happen until we believe Him. We must believe to receive. Which brings us back to what Peter was saying, “Receiving the end of your faith” We must keep our eyes on the goal set before us. We are going to go through many things such as fiery trials, storms, tests but they are all there to make us FAITHFULL! Only faith with no room for unbelief or doubt. After we go through the fire all that will be left is our dependence on Him and we will have no confidence in the flesh. Glory!

A Little Further

One day Jesus said to Peter, James and John I am going up into the mountain to meet with My Father. (To pray) Would you like to join me? Jesus did not take everyone with Him only a select few, three to be exact.  How many will He take with Him this time? Will you be one of them? Jesus takes those of His own choosing. Will He choose you? He knows those who desire to know Him more fully. Jesus was being led of the Spirit when He went up into the mountain. He offered to a few of His closest disciples to go with Him. I wonder if they were envied for this? I wonder if the other disciples persecuted them because of this. Remember Jesus left the others behind. Let them envy and let them persecute. I am going to still follow Him! Where are we going next Jesus? Just think of the experience they had when they got up into the mountain. Oh my! They see Jesus in His glory with Moses (type of the Law) Elijah (prophet) they heard the Father of Glory speak and say “ This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, He ye Him.” They fell on their faces to the ground and were afraid, but once Jesus comforted them, they got their eyes open they did not see Moses or Elijah they only saw only Jesus. Moses and Elijah were talking with Jesus about his decease and what He should accomplish at Jerusalem. Moses was the Lawgiver and Elijah the Prophet of God their job was finished but Jesus had yet to accomplish the Fathers will. The Father said, “This is my beloved Son, Hear ye Him!” Jesus did not come to destroy the Law or the prophets; in fact He came to fulfill what they had said. The Jews knew of Moses and Elijah but who is this Jesus? The Father from heaven says This is Him! My Son! The One that that Moses and Elijah prophesied of that would come. The Lord did not take everyone with Him up into the mountain when He revealed Himself He only took a few out of His chosen Twelve. Not everyone is hearing His voice through His Spirit in this hour. I used to struggle with leaving others behind but I realize that I cannot let anything or anyone keep me from going on to know Him. I must press on! I realize that Jesus will only take me as far as I am willing to go. The question is how far am I willing to go? I have made up my mind to go with Him all the way. Nothing will satisfy the hunger and thirst in my soul but to see Him and know Him for myself. I must know Him! My heart longs to be with Him were He is. 

A Clear Difference

It’s one thing to be saved by the blood of the Lamb and born again of the Spirit but its quite another to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. There is a clear difference with someone that is saved and one that has been baptized in the Holy Ghost. The main difference is POWER! Jesus said “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” Acts 1:8 this word power is dunamis meaning explosive power! Mighty power! Miracle working power! If we truly have been baptized in the Holy Ghost why are we not seeing this in our lives? It’s the power that makes us a witness of His resurrection and that He is alive and not dead. He is alive! Does our life witness to His resurrection power? If it does not then we have not been baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is a gift given by the Father to those who obey Him. The Spirit of Truth comes to dwell in the cleansed temple. The second difference is a WITNESS! Jesus said “ And ye shall be witnesses unto me.” Acts 1:8 we really cannot be a real witness for Jesus until we are dead to self. The word witness is mar'-toos – means to be a martyr or to be dead. This is not talking about dying in the natural or giving our life in the natural for the cause of the Gospel though we should always be ready to give our natural lives, this is talking about the death to the self-life. When Simon Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost at Pentecost it was very difficult to find Simon anymore though he did show up from time to time. However Peter was a powerful witness for Jesus and that without question. The power of God was manifested in His life right from the Day of Pentecost in which the Holy Ghost was given to birth the Church. “But Peter standing up with the eleven” he was not by himself or being self-centered anymore he stood up with the eleven. Peter is standing up not afraid as he was before he was filled with the Holy Ghost. The third difference is that of being FEARLESS! Peter was not afraid of what the rulers would do unto him he was selfless and not worried about even being killed. The fear of death was not an issue for him. As I heard a wise man once say “Is this that?” Are we really truly being a powerful witness for Jesus in this hour? Let me rephrase that am I really being a powerful witness for Jesus in this hour? If not then why? Have I really been filled with the Holy Ghost as promised by the Lord and given by the Father as a gift to all-them that obey Him?
