Knowing The Terror of The Lord

 

2Co 5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Knowing the Terror of the Lord. Do we know the terror of the Lord? According to the Scriptures we cannot properly persuade men to surrender their lives to the Lord if we do not know the terror of the Lord. The word terror is the same as the word fear in the Scripture.

A man and his wife died under Gods judgment because they lied to a man that was Full of the Holy Ghost. Since this man did not represent himself, it was God that was being lied to. You see this man and his wife thought they could pull a fast one on even God Himself. Their are allot of people that think that God does not see but let me assure you that God knows all. He sees all. It's His mercy that we are not consumed. They wanted to get credit for something that was not theirs. God used these liars for an example to the Church and all that would hear what happened.

Act 5:11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

"And great terror came upon all the church"

Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
