Philanthropy Addicted To Giving: But Is it enough?

There seems to be a new trend in these days among the wealthy of this world. They have everything they ever wanted but they are still not content. They turn to philanthropy and even become addicted to this wonderful privilege, however is it enough? They are known to be the greatest charity givers but is it enough? Jesus said, Mar 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Jesus was the greatest of all philanthropists.

Take a look at this Scripture. Act 10:38  "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."

The word good in this passage of Scripture is the word "philanthropy".

yoo-erg-et-eh'-o
From G2110; to be philanthropic: - do good.

Question:  How was Jesus the greatest of all philanthropists? Obviously it was not by giving money. Though the harlot TV evangelists want to say Jesus was rich, this cannot be backed up by the Scripture. So how was Jesus the greatest of all philanthropists? The answer is, it's not about giving money, it's about giving and going about doing good. The word good also means honest. So a true philanthropist is also honest. Honest means truthful and transparent. Last but not least, if we are giving to be noticed or to be seen it's not honest giving. To be a true philanthropist we must be like Jesus Christ.
