Ruling In The Fear of God

2Sa 23:3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

Jer 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

We need a revival of the fear of God. If we will be wise in this world and depart from sin and rebellion towards God we must Fear Him. We are taught in the Scripture that if we will not fear God that we will learn our lessons the hard way. In fact our very wickedness will correct us and our backslidings shall reprove us. The only way to walk worthy of the Lord is to walk in the Fear of the Lord. According to the Scripture this is word fear means to be terrified. However this is not what is being taught today.

2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

From a primary φέβομαι phebomai (to be put in fear); alarm or fright: - be afraid, + exceedingly, fear, terror.

Now let me ask you, is this the fear that you have been walking in. If more of God's people walked in this fear of terror their would be conviction. With a revival of the Fear of God their needs to be also a conviction that will convict the world of sin. God is not playing games, it's we that are playing games. It's time to awake to righteousness and SIN NOT! If we do fear God properly we will cleans ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit and perfect holiness in the fear of God. Does the Church fear God's servants today? Do the children fear and obey? What is it that the Devil uses to control people? According to the Scripture it's fear. What kind of fear? The fear of death.

Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

This is the same word fear as we are to fear God. Question is, who will we obey? God or the Devil? It's our choice. However we will fear one or the other.
