A Call To Repentance

 2Ch 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

In 2009 David Wilkerson gave a prophetic message from the heart of God entitled “A Call to Anguish. You may listen to it here. Part 1,2,3,4 and 5 When you have listened to this message please continue to read below.

This message was powerful to say the least, however by the grace of God I would like to take you a little further. Brother Wilkerson said, “It’s what we desire.” May I interject something here? We do not wish to take anything away from what Brother Wilkerson shared from his heart, but would like to add to what he shared. What about a call to repentance? We must go beyond desire. To desire is not doing something and we must repent! The Scripture reads 2Ch 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Did you notice what the Lord said? Will heal their land? Jesus went up into a mountain and the disciples came unto Him and He said, Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.” Matt 5:3 But he did not stop there, He said also “Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. But wait, He did not stop there! He said, Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Did you see what He said? The meek shall inherit the earth. So if the Lord is saying, “and will heal their land.” It must be that He is not just talking to those that call themselves His people but are His people. It’s not just the run of the mill either its to the MEEK of the earth. God is saying if my people (the meek that are called by His name and have also inherited the earth, shall call on His name. Remember God does not just hear anyone in prayer. His ears are open to the righteous.  Psa 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. 1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. Also note that these are the same ones that will be persecuted for righteousness. Matt 5:11 Please read Matthew 5 for yourself. This is Gods pattern to perfection.
