The Longsuffering of God Is Salvation

Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch walked with God long before Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Enoch's name means:

initiated, to be narrow, to throttle, to choke oneself to death, strangle, discipline, to train up, dedicate. So does this mean that Enoch committed suicide? NO! It means he killed the FLESH! He strangled it! He chocked the very life of the flesh or carnal out of himself.

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

You see; God is not longsuffering with the world, he is longsuffering with His own people. Notice what Peter says.

1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Notice if the righteous scarcely be saved,

The Word scarcely in the original Greek is - with difficulty, hardly

Now notice what the Scripture says about the days of Noah.

1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

God was not waiting for the world to get anymore wicked, He was waiting for Noah to finish the ark.

Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Gen 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.For you that can recieve it receive this Scripture below!

Gen 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Notice that Enoch walked with God before Noah did and was not for God took Him. Now look at what the name Enoch means.

to be narrow, by implication to throttle, to choke oneself to death (by a rope): hang self, strangle, discipline, to train up, dedicate.

So does this mean that Enoch committed suicide? NO!

It means he killed the FLESH! He strangled it! He chocked the very life of the flesh or carnal out of himself.

How did he do this? He was disciplined and trained up. Who was his trainer? God taught him how to kill the flesh. (the fallen nature)

Even Paul came to this place. Look what Paul the Apostle said.

1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Paul was saying I beat myself into subjection. He actually was saying I give the flesh a hard time. But we see that Enoch went a little further and was strangling the flesh. Big difference!

Why did Enoch walk with God when nobody else was? The answer is, he knew that God was going to judge the world. How did he know? God gave him a revelation.

Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

What does it mean by faith? By revelation. Enoch heard from God. God told Enoch what He was going to do. So since Enoch knew God was angry with sin and the whole world he started to chock the flesh. He began to kill the flesh! He committed carnal fleshly suicide. Now don't go saying that I am teaching people to commit suicide. I am saying we need to KILL the Flesh! Kill the Carnal self life. Remember God is longsuffering and waiting for the bride to kill the flesh! The flesh must be DEAD!
